How prevalent is age discrimination in Europe? Where is age discrimination prohibited and how do governments fulfil their responsibility to ensure equal treatment for all, independent of one’s age? What can be done to tackle age discrimination and how can we move forward towards a world for all ages? These and other questions have been discussed during the event.
In three panels, experts gave an overview of age discrimination in Europe, presented projects and initiatives that aim at combatting age discrimination and discussed about next steps in tackling age discrimination at local, national and European level. The event was organised by BAGSO's Secretariat for International Policy on Ageing and AGE Platform Europe.
