German Senior Citizens‘ Day

The German Senior Citizens‘ Day is the platform for exchange, information and networking around all themes on ageing in Germany. The forum, which lasts three days, is used by policymakers, civil society and the society at large to discuss current questions regarding ageing and older people.

The German Senior Citizens’ Day takes place every three years and attracts around 15.000 participants, comprising many prominent guests. Together with its members, BAGSO organises a large variety of keynote speeches, panel discussions and opportunities to join in. The event also counts on a fair. Organisations and companies present their work, including many products and services for people aged 50+. The 12th edition took place in Dortmund in 2018. The next edition is planned for 2021 and will take place in Hannover.

The German Senior Citizens‘ Day counts on the alternating patronage of the Federal Chancellor or the Federal President.
